Walk-in Urgent Care Patients Welcome
NOW ENROLLING
PRIMARY CARE PATIENTS
As many of you may be aware at this point, there has been a massive nationwide cyber attack of healthcare billing software systems. This attack has affected many small and large hospitals, as well as many healthcare practices.
Unfortunately, Manchester Medical Center is one of the many affected by this cyber attack.
What this has done has halted MMC’s ability to process patient claims, as well as halted MMC’s ability to receive any payment from most major insurance companies for services already provided.
Additionally, this disaster has affected pharmacies and the patients’ ability to obtain prescriptions. Please have patience and communicate with both MMC and your pharmacy if this disruption directly affects your ability to receive your prescriptions.
Our internal billing department, external billing company and Athena, our EHR system, are doing all things possible to remain informed, and diligent as to how we work through this disruption.
We thank you for your patience during this time, as we sort through these problems which are out of our control.
Please reach out to our billing department with any need for further information. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have.

EXCITING NEWS!
Greetings to all,
Manchester Medical Center (MMC) has some exciting news to share! Manchester Medical Center is the medical consultant for the Institute for Shipboard Education's Semester at Sea (SAS) program in conjunction with its academic partner, Colorado State University. This program offers an amazing semester abroad for college students on a ship that sails around Asia, Africa and Europe for nearly 4 months.
Dr. Thomas Sterling will be assisting this upcoming semester as an onboard physician on the MV World Odyssey ship. The college semester begins in Thailand and traverses south of Africa and ultimately disembarks in Denmark with 10 stops along the way. Dr. Sterling will be caring for over 600 US and non-US passport holding voyagers. He will be caring for students from around the world as well as the diverse multinational faculty and staff. Having this opportunity brings great knowledge and exposure to international experiences and standards of medical care. While Vermont has tick borne illnesses, such as Lyme disease, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia, as well as Bebesiosis as endemic diseases. Yellow fever and malaria are common endemic mosquito borne illnesses in south east Asia, as well as Africa.
In Dr. Sterling‘s absence, the Interim Medical Directorship will be carried by Dr. Brandon Ayre. Dr. Ayre is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and will be overseeing MMC as well as being present onsite on a regular basis. MMC is open every day for urgent care visits and on business days for primary care services.
Additionally, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Kate Howard as our new attending primary care physician! She will be overseeing the primary care practice in addition to Lia Braico, FNP, and Morgan Bzak, FNP. Dr. Howard will begin seeing patients at MMC Primary Care as of March 21, 2024. We are accepting patients for her medical practice service now. Happy holidays and be safe.
Sincerely,
The Manchester Medical Team

“ I cannot say enough good things about the experience.“
“My father was visiting and got a deep cut on his hand. We went at 6:30 pm The doc and medic were outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. While I hope I never need to go I would not hesitate to go or recommend the facility to anyone. No wait … great care … keep up the good work we need you! “
